Now offering services in Calgary and Okotoks areas! My personal and professional journey offers experience in trauma, addictions, relationships, bereavement, anxiety, depression, and other areas of mental health. I obtained a degree in Addictions Counselling in 2000 and have since worked closely with substance abuse and behavioural addictions. I went on to receive a Masters in Counselling Psychology to further support my focus on the complexities of couple and family relationships, and other mental health concerns.
My nonjudgmental approach and open-minded beliefs offer respect toward unique personal circumstances. My role is to walk alongside the client in their journey towards purpose, and facilitate presence and mindfulness in the here and now.
I incorporate practices of dialectical behavioural therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, existential therapy, and solution-focused practices. My hope is to support individuals/couples/families develop wisdom and find tools to manage challenges, increase communication through emotional vulnerability, and find acceptance in life’s adverse circumstances.
