I am a professional counsellor with 27 years of experience as a therapist, educator, consultant and coach. I am passionate about guiding others toward reaching their full potential and maintaining a balanced life. I use a client-centered approach, incorporating elements of several types of therapy: Cognitive-Behavioural, Somatic (body-focused) and Psychodynamic, along with other modalities, in order to create a treatment plan that addresses your particular needs, while working with you to achieve your goals and become the best version of you. My approach is guided by my heart as much as it is informed by my skills and knowledge.
For the past 10 years, I have been utilizing a more holistic approach in my practice, incorporating elements of mind/body and spirituality into my work. My goal is to help my clients to become their own "therapist" by learning to listen to themselves and by developing resiliency. I also offer clinical supervision to therapists and counsellors.
I would love to hear from you, as I am currently accepting new clients, however it is important to note that I am only conducting sessions by Zoom, or by phone if that is your preference. I chose not to renew my lease last Fall, due to the pandemic, and I hope to have a new office ready in June 2022.
