I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Approved Clinical Supervisor (RCC-ACS) with the BCACC, with a Master of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology. I am also a Professional Member of the CCPA, possessing a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) designation. I have a passion for working with youth, adults, couples and families, and have over 19 years of experience working with clients presenting challenges related to anxiety, depression, substance use, grief/loss and trauma. I also have had the privilege of mentoring and providing clinical consultation to interns and professionals in the helping profession.
I draw on a number of theories and modalities based on the unique needs of the person in front of me. My work is grounded in a strengths-based approach, engaging in conversations that tap into the person's wisdom and builds on their resiliency. I believe that everyone has the capacity to live a life of wellness, even in the presence of suffering.
I consider counselling to be a sacred space to sort out and navigate the challenges we face in life.
