I work with individuals and couples facing life transitions, identity challenges, low mood, anxiety, and difficulty breaking out of repetitive patterns of behaviour. My approach is rooted in empathy and in a deep respect for different ways of understanding and processing experience.
Some of my areas of special interest include ADHD, Autism, OCD, and neurodivergence generally; mental health and burnout in academia; the challenges of balancing caregiving and career demands; and the existential dread and dissonance that come with living in world shaped by climate change, violence, oppression, and inequality.
Prior to becoming a mental health clinician, I worked as a research scientist in academic institutions across Canada, Latin America, and Europe. I hold an MSc and a PhD. Drawing from my own experiences as a neurodivergent individual, parent, and person familiar with frequent moves and cross-cultural living, I bring a unique perspective to therapy.
