Hello, I’m Karlene Langman, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I hold a Master of Counselling Psychology (Honours) from Yorkville University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology and Women and Gender Studies from Laurentian University.
I support individuals, couples, and families navigating a wide range of concerns, with a focus on trauma recovery, grief support, and play-based therapy for children and teens. My experience also includes facilitating group therapy, where I’ve seen the powerful role of connection in building resilience and healing.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each person I work with. I draw on a variety of evidence-based frameworks—including Polyvagal theory, parts work, attachment theory, mindfulness and grounding practices, CBT, and DBT—to meet clients where they are.
Balancing my roles as therapist, partner, and mother has shaped my respect for life’s complexities. I believe therapy isn’t about “fixing” you, but creating a safe, supportive space to reconnect with yourself, explore patterns, and move toward healing, growth, and meaningful change.
