Are you dealing with discouragement, confusion and hopelessness, needing compassion, direction and hope? I have been a therapist for over two decades bringing hope and compassion to hundreds of clients over the years. I strength of mine is to be able to build a quick therapeutic alliance with my clients, and have a unique combination of being both soft and gentle, while being bold and direct where invited. I enjoy the thrill of watching people blossom into the potential that each one is meant to be, having gained clarity, healing and freedom.
Besides being in private practice for most of my professional life, I worked at a women's shelter for 13 years dealing with people in crisis, and needing to heal, transition, and find their voice. I use a client centred approach, focusing on being heard, and then looking at roots contributing to the issue at hand.
Having personally experienced challenges of past low self-esteem, domestic violence, single parenting, poverty, divorce, cancer, grief, house fire, and having an adult child with mental health, addiction and homelessness, I can identify with many of you. While I did experience pain, I also experienced healing and freedom. If I can do that, so can you.
