Away From Work On Maternity Leave - Not Accepting New Clients At This Time.
As a Registered Psychotherapist, the strength of my practice is in helping people living with depression/anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, pregnancy, postpartum and parenting challenges, childhood trauma, grief and mourning, eating disorders/body image issues, career stress, and relationship issues. In my practice, I help clients to become 'directors' of their own experience and to understand how behaviours that were once part of creatively adjusting to past environments may be interfering with their ability to function fully in the present moment.

Children and youth live in a different world today than most parents grew up in. It can be difficult for parents to understand why their children are expressing anxiety, sadness or stress in their lives. I can help children and youth navigate through their emotions, worries and self-defeating thoughts in a fun and engaging style. I coach children and youth through emotional regulation techniques that they can use in all situations to help manage challenging or stressful situations. I use a relational, client centered model to help children and youth understand themselves better in order to feel more secure and regulated in life.

If you find yourself feeling irritable, critical, stressed, and overwhelmed, it may be a sign that you are struggling to cope with the effects of the trauma. These symptoms can lead to bursts of anger that may leave you feeling ashamed and isolated. As a professional who may have tried other modalities without success, you may be feeling discouraged and hopeless about finding relief from your symptoms. However, it is important to remember that healing is possible and that you deserve to live a life free from the grips of trauma.

Challenges and adversity in life are unavoidable and often it's all too easy to get stuck or held back by the weight of it. In this world, so many of us believe we should be able to 'get unstuck' on our own and then struggle to figure out why that seems so hard. As humans, our need for help is universal although asking for it can be hard. My first goal is to create a safe, non-judgemental space to voice what you nee, and second, to work with you to identify and break free from the patterns and beliefs that keep you stuck. You have the ability to get 'unstuck', sometimes the first step is allowing yourself to ask for help to find it.

Hi, I’m Ashley.
Chronic pain and illness can change everything — how you feel in your body, how you see yourself, and how you connect with others. You may be grieving the version of you who felt confident, connected, or sexual. You might miss how things used to be, or feel exhausted from holding it all together.
Together, we’ll explore the emotional and relational impact of living with chronic pain or illness. We’ll gently get to know the parts of you shaped by grief, shame, survival, and resilience — and create space for all of them.

I support individuals who feel stuck and are curious about engaging in therapeutic art-making as an instrument of growth, support and personal empowerment. I work from a place of witnessing the human experience, with art-making at the centre that supports the healing process and anchors the therapeutic relationship. Art-making within a secure therapeutic relationship offers an opportunity to practice self-care and provides a safe place for further self-discoveries, new ways of solution finding and gaining new skills to manage some of life’s challenges.

I believe each person is the keeper of their own inner wisdom. Over time, many people learn to silence their values and authentic voice in order to cope. My role as a therapist is to offer a safe, supportive, and respectful space where you feel seen, heard, and valued. Therapy is a collaborative process rooted in trust and genuine connection. I walk alongside you as you explore your experiences, deepen self-understanding, and reconnect with the wisdom you already hold.
