Therapists in K2K

My goal as a therapist is to support clients in their journey toward emotional well-being and self-discovery. I prioritize creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel seen and heard. My practice is trauma-informed and culturally sensitive, recognizing the impact of lived experiences on mental health.
With experience at The Royal Ottawa Hospital and Jewish Family Services, I’ve supported diverse populations. My background as a Diversity and Inclusion analyst deepens my understanding of systemic barriers. I integrate evidence-based approaches to foster resilience, self-awareness, and lasting change.

Do you struggle with anxiety or feeling unseen? Is it affecting your relationships with others or with yourself? Do you feel overwhelmed or burnt out, easily irritable or exhausted, because of the overthinking, perfectionism, and people-pleasing? Do you wish life could be more manageable and enjoyable somehow? Now more than ever, women are feeling the pressure to be gentle parents, bold career-women, attuned partners, and more, yet struggle to live up to the unrelenting standards they see, leaving them feeling not "good enough". It can make any additional trauma, changes, grief, or relational stressors overwhelming to work through.

Change starts with the relationship that we form in the therapy and then continues by building useful skills in and outside of our sessions. In practice this means that I fit best with clients who are interested in (1) understanding more about their thoughts and emotions while also (2) taking clear steps to improve their mental and physical well-being. My job as the therapist is to provide a warm and caring environment to support the client in this process.

I have worked in a variety of settings and provided the highest quality care to adolescents, adults (including seniors), couples, and families. As a certified EFT marital and family therapist, I have extensive clinical experience in helping couples bring closure to incidents (i.e., attachment injuries) that have damaged their relationship bond. My expertise with couples also extends to distressed families as well as individuals wanting to recover from traumatic incidents.
