I specialize in helping high-school students, young adults, career-changers, and professionals who want more clarity about their next steps but may feel stuck or unsure about how to move forward. You may be a parent supporting a young adult who is bright and capable but uncertain about how their strengths connect with future possibilities. Or you may be an adult considering a career transition, re-evaluating your direction, and looking for guidance to understand and sort through your options. In either case, the process can feel overwhelming, and support can make a real difference.

Seashore Psychotherapy offers both in-person and virtual services, grounded in a psychodynamic approach to treatment. Here, psychotherapy is understood not simply as symptom reduction, but as a process of transforming the meaning individuals make of themselves, their relationships, and their place in the world. The therapeutic work emphasizes curiosity, depth, and collaboration, creating a reflective space where experiences can be explored with care and nuance. Treatment focuses on present-day concerns while attending to the emotional, relational, and unconscious patterns that shape them.

Our life experiences create a set of parts within us that we carry in our daily lives, and that show up both when we most and least expect them to. Together, we will welcome each and every part of yourself and create a safe space to explore the ways in which they impact your life. While these parts have developed within us over time, and may have defined our past, we can gain a sense of control over them, so, they do not have to define our future. Together, we will build the confidence to determine which parts of ourselves we need to empower, comfort, understand, and make space for, promoting self-understanding and growth.

I am glad you are here. You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in patterns that no longer feel right. Perhaps you are navigating grief, changes in relationships, questions about identity, health-related challenges, or a significant life transition. Sometimes there is no single reason for seeking therapy, only a sense that something could be different. Whatever brings you here, therapy can offer space to slow down, make sense of what you are experiencing, and understand yourself with greater clarity and compassion.

I know first hand how becoming a parent changes you. For some, experiences of grief, loss and trauma shape our early parenting journey, and we might feel isolated, afraid, or even ashamed about the thoughts and feelings we are having. Parenting standards today encourage us to sacrifice everything for our children, and to do it all with a smile - so we suffer silently. My own struggles in parenting, including my lived reality of grief and traumatic loss bring me to this work - and allow me to deeply connect with other parents who are craving a place to bring all of their parenting experiences - the joyful, and the excruciating.

You look like you’re doing fine on the outside, while inside, you’re constantly questioning yourself. You know what you’re capable of, but the problem is, some part of you doesn’t fully believe it. So you stay quiet in meetings when you have something to say. You downplay your achievements before anyone else can. You ask for feedback you don’t really need, because getting reassurance is the point. Compliments bounce off, but criticism sticks for days. You think to yourself, “What if I’m never truly enough?” If you want a different relationship with yourself, there’s a way forward.

Available Evenings and Weekends. “Owning our own story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it”, Brene Brown. We’re not meant to struggle alone. I’m a trauma-informed EMDR and CBT therapist who helps people move from emotional overload and self-doubt to clarity, confidence, and connection. Many of my clients are caregivers, professionals, or partners who feel stuck managing everyone else’s needs while neglecting their own. Do you struggle with anxiety or feeling alone in your struggles? Is it affecting your relationships with others or with yourself? Do you feel overwhelmed or burnt out, easily irritable or exhausted, because of the overthinking, perfectionism, and people-pleasing? Now more than ever, women are feeling the pressure to be gentle parents, bold career-women, attuned partners, and more, yet struggle to live up to the unrelenting standards they see, leaving them feeling not "good enough". It can make any additional trauma, changes, grief, or relational stressors overwhelming to work through.

I strive to help clients identify the obstacles that are preventing them from feeling in alignment with themselves and the life they want to lead. I want to help clients understand themselves, incorporate self-compassion, and feel capable of showing up as their authentic selves. With over a decade of experience, I offer a safe space for clients, where we can work together to explore thoughts, emotions, and patterns of coping/functioning that may no longer be serving them. I believe healing happens through feeling and connecting with others in a deep, meaningful way.
