I am a trauma-informed therapist, and I'm here to offer you room to breathe deeply, to unclench your shoulders and to find a little peace in your day to day life. You have made it through life so far, and now may be the right time to learn and explore new ways of caring for yourself, communicating with your loved ones, and building better supports for the future.
As a therapist, I provide a calm, supportive and open atmosphere for you to feel safe to share your struggles. In session, I’ll listen, support, and together we will clarify your goals for therapy. I am a Registered Psychotherapist and an EMDR Therapist. I implement an integrative EMDR therapy approach to help support and heal from symptoms of trauma, anxiety and depression. Groups
Group EMDR Therapy
Group EMDR Therapy is a brief and targeted intervention to help you reduce PTSD/acute distress from a traumatic event, while also strengthening your grounding and stabilization skills. We implement a specific EMDR Group Traumatic Episode Protocol (G-TEP) in our EMDR Therapy Groups. Groups (between 2-10 people) meet either in person at our Burlington office or remotely and are facilitated by a Certified EMDR Therapist (Christina Janiga). Our groups provide a supportive space where you DO NOT have to talk about your trauma AND still have the opportunity to reprocess it through guided instructions incorporating eye movements.
