I have over twenty years experience working with children/youth and their families with complex needs including trauma, divorce, anxiety, depression, addictions, grief and behavioural/social concerns. I use a warm, caring, non-judgemental approach in my work. I draw upon a variety of proven therapeutic strategies including Cognitive Behavioural, EMDR, Solution-Focussed, Family Systems therapy, Motivational Interviewing and other evidence based methodologies to assist clients in making positive changes in their lives.
In recent years, I have focussed on serving Military/Veterans which comprises about half of my practice. I approach this work from a compassionate perspective and with the understanding that this population have a unique set of mental health needs.
I am extremely dedicated to serving clients during those challenging periods in their lives. Together, we will work to identify your strengths, encourage healthy coping strategies and examine negative (thought) patterns with the aim of moving you towards fulfillment, positive mental health and a feeling of being more connected to loved ones and community.
