I appreciate that change is hard. Therapy–– facing fears, trying new behaviours and learning alternate coping skills––can often feel uncomfortable. I also believe that our values and aspirations can help us move forward when the going gets tough. So, to make the hard work of therapy worthwhile, I will collaborate with you to uncover what makes your unique life meaningful. We will examine barriers to your meaningful life and develop a plan to overcome them.
My therapy style is rooted in cognitive-behavioral and behavioral frameworks. I incorporate strategies from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to facilitate meaningful and lasting change for my clients. I work from a non-judgemental, collaborative, and person-centered stance.
If you're interested in seeing how my skills might fit your therapy needs, I would be happy to set up a time to chat. Please don't hesitate to reach out to schedule a free phone call :)
