My training and experience have included a range of symptom severity levels, from psychiatric hospital inpatients to high functioning individuals experiencing more common difficulties. Some of my clients are experiencing difficulties with work, school, or relationships. Others have diagnosed psychological impairments. Regardless of the specific challenges faced, all of my clients are seeking to live healthier, more satisfying lives. The greatest satisfaction I find in my work is in providing services that genuinely help people achieve desired improvements.
I provide assessment and treatment services to adolescents and adults (ages 12 and above). I follow a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) approach, with influence from emotion-focused therapy (EFT) and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT). I value a person-centered (Rogerian) approach that involves empathy, warmth, acceptance, and no negative judgments.
Please feel free to contact me by e-mail or telephone with any questions. I'm always happy to consult free of charge and with no commitment required in order to help determine your needs and if the services I offer will be helpful for you.
