Life is truly filled with so many layers (just like an onion!) which can make it hard to know where to start when it comes to counselling. Hi, I'm Julie (she/her) and I deeply believe in the beauty of connection. My own journey with mental health and being neurodivergent has truly inspired my passion for this field. I work with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, chronic pain, neurodivergence (ADHD, ASD), self-esteem, couples counselling and more! I am also deeply passionate about working with 2slgbtqia+ individuals and the queer community.

I believe that therapy should be a collaborative space between client and clinician so people can feel truly safe talking through their lives. I absolutely understand how intimidating it can be to try to find the right therapist. I'm open to working with clients of all ages including children, teens, students, parents, and couples.

I utilize a person-centered and eclectic approach so that we can help you feel personally empowered while recognizing your own resilience throughout the therapeutic process. I believe therapy doesn’t need to be dreaded but can be enjoyed, despite the hard work it sometimes takes. I would love to meet you and discuss how I can best support you!

I like to work clients to determine a treatment plan and check in frequently to ensure the client feels they have room for collaboration and feedback if needed. Outside of that, I use a blend of modalities to process more deeply including some somatic processing, parts work, narrative therapy, etc to move clients through the intellectualize of their feelings to being more present with life!
