Often in life we can move on ‘auto pilot’ and be surprised when we feel hijacked by things such as anxiety, anger, substance abuse, depression, etc. I will aid you in processing your reactions and learn how to better identify and communicate your emotions. We are all carrying so much on our backs. Be it childhood experiences, trauma, anxiety, work or school stress, insecurities, self doubt and so much more. I will support you in finding the skills to tease apart, challenge, and cope with these issues.
In the work I do I will support you to bring awareness to patterns in your life that may be holding you back. I will help you to recognize where these patterns may have stemmed from and how to best break the cycle. Awareness is the first step towards change. I use a casual, client centered approach to my work which means you are in the driver’s seat!
I am compassionate and non-judgmental, and have been working in the field of substance abuse and mental health for over 10 years. I enjoy working with people at any stage of their substance use journey. I work from a trauma informed lens to make sure counselling is always a safe space.
