I hope to create a warm, trusting space to assist you in your healing process. I work with children, youth, and adults. It is important as an adult to recognize what we carry with us from childhood and the impact past events have on us. In working with my young clients, I ensure to provide them space to feel safe to express their emotions. It is evident that the meaning behind a child’s behaviors are often rooted in trauma, attachment difficulties and understanding their own identity. Specific to kids, play therapy can allow the expression and development to understand and navigate their core emotions hiding behind the behavior.
My work is grounded in attachment theory, with a trauma-informed approach. I also utilize a strengths-based and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques, dependent on your needs. This may include work to develop healthy coping skills, navigating everyday stressors, or working on healthy communication and boundaries.
I believe that therapy has the potential to open doors for healing, understanding and personal growth. I strive to make those who I work with to feel heard, understood, and safe.
