I’m Jules, a queer and trans therapist with lived experience of medical transition. I offer a supportive space to reflect on who you are, who you want to be, and how to get there. Based in Halifax, I provide affirming therapy for teens and adults who are trans, nonbinary, gender-diverse, or exploring their identity. Together, we can work through anxiety, depression, burnout, life transitions, gender dysphoria, coming out, and minority stress.
I use narrative therapy to help you build insight and reconnect with your values, strengths, and preferred ways of living. I love asking curious questions that help you find clarity, fulfillment, and your next steps. We'll also explore how broader systems and societal expectations have shaped your world so you can navigate your life with more confidence.
I’m the Clinical Director at Insight Mental Health Counselling and previously worked as a counsellor at Dalhousie University and as a Child and Youth Mental Health Clinician with the BC government. I’m WPATH-trained and hold an M.Ed. in Counselling from Acadia University; my thesis on mental illness and identity was nominated for a Governor General’s Award.
