That means that I believe that you are the expert on your own life and experience, that human beings are hard-wired for connection, and that I am sensitive to the special needs and issues of those who have experienced trauma of any kind.
I consider my role as that of one who walks with you on your healing journey. Emotions may be unpleasant at times, but they are necessary to let us know when we are and aren't safe with people. I can help you to recognize those signals and act appropriately on them, which will improve your relationships with yourself and with others.
