Welcome! I hope I have the opportunity to hear about your life’s journey. I am a registered social worker providing support to adults and elders who may be navigating depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, religious trauma, and other experiences that can impact our emotional wellbeing. In particular, I am passionate about providing affirming and empowering support to those navigating 2SLGBTQ+ identities, as well as those seeking support with the complexities of a loved one's 2SLGBTQ+ identity. Previous clients have described me as a therapist who is interested, compassionate, energetic and open to exploring complex narratives.
After thirty years of practice, I know that therapy is most successful when we connect to one another, allowing you to feel safe and free to share. I believe that authentic exploration into our understanding of areas like intimacy, sexuality, health, shame, trauma, gender, and spirituality, can be one of the most important processes we will undertake.
I have been a social worker since 1995. I grew up in the heart of Montreal, and experienced the HIV/AIDS era of the 80’s and 90’s and the impact it had on my community. This was a significant catalyst for me as a social worker, and influenced me to achieve advanced certifications in all the Gold Standard trauma therapy treatments.
