Need a change in the way you are living? I specialize in managing anxiety, stress, and mild depression. I understand the daily challenges of work, adulting, parenting and trying to maintain your health, I am there too! Therapy can help you deal with today's problems and minimize future ones. Avoiding things can lead to arguments, regret or using substances to cope. I use kindness, empathy, humor and even sarcasm (if you let me). I have over 27 years experience and have worked with first responders and veterans. I am a trained Wounded Warriors of Canada Service Provider so I know how these jobs can hijack your life and family.
I use a non-judgmental yet direct approach. We will work together to identify your strengths (even if you can't see them yourself!) and overcome challenges. I have extensive experience with addiction, relationship conflict and people struggling to manage their emotions. I also work with teenagers and youth to build life skills and emotions management.
I believe most therapy should be short term, just a little help to get back on your feet. I work with people in conflict, with out of control emotions and maybe using substances or other distractions to cope. I act as your GPS to help put you in the driver's seat again so you can feel control of your life and start feeling better, more like yourself again.
