If you're struggling with difficult feelings, unwanted thoughts, or behaviours that aren't healthy, my specialty is helping you make the changes you want in your life. This includes helping people with depression, anxiety, trauma, and sexual health issues. Sometimes people find that they are suffering from more than one of these things at the same time and it can be overwhelming. Ultimately, I strive to be there with you compassionately and help you feel more clear and in control of the issues you bring to session. This includes making realistic goals, understanding complex emotions, and building useful skills for a lifetime.
I am a Registered Psychologist who provides psychotherapy and counselling services to individuals and couples. I have additional training in EMDR, grief recovery, Emotion Focused Therapy, and sex therapy. I practice with a Humanistic and process-based CBT approach, and frequently draw on evidence-based applications of mindfulness and relaxation therapy.
I see everyone as a unique person who is valuable, admirable, and capable of achieving their goals. I don’t believe that behaviour or feelings should automatically be viewed as problems, as they all serve a distinct purpose and are understandable in context.
