About
As an experienced therapist, I offer individual, couple’s and family counselling. Whether it’s addiction based issues, such as substance use, gambling and sex, or emotional issues from our journey as young children, many of these issues can be concurrent with many mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, etc. Any one or a combination of these can keep us from finding our true, authentic selves. Through therapy, we have the chance to be heard, believed and empowered. These are key to our mental, physical, emotional and spiritual recovery as individuals and together.
I have worked in the counselling field since 2003, using a variety of client centered approaches including Attachment Therapy, C.B.T, M.I. and Narrative Therapy. I have a well established referral network. As a special/mature student, I have been engaged in graduate studies of Couple and Family counselling, and Intervention at St. Paul University, Ottawa.
The pervasive effects trauma/ addictions and mental health struggles can have on us, our relationships, and our families, can prevent our vision towards our true path to living life to it's fullest. I believe that being heard is where our healing journey begins. These challenges trace back to our family of origin. Here we find healing for our wounds.
