Are you, or someone you love feeling like you just don't know what your next step should be? Change can be overwhelming for all of us. With the right type of supports, those steps can become bearable, and more importantly believable. When clients are provided with genuine compassion and support, they recognize that they can make real change in their lives. My goal as a therapist is to provide clients with honest feedback, and a non judgmental environment that helps individuals reach their goals. I have many years of experience working with individuals and families, and look forward to being there for you.
I work using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Mindfulness, Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI). and Trauma Focused. I generally work with adults who struggle with depression, anxiety/stress, other mood disorders, trauma.
Making change can be scary, and I appreciate that. I will support you, and validate the reality of your situation. As a therapist it is my responsibility to be focused on you. That means sometimes the work to be done can be uncomfortable. I recognize that, and am very skilled at supporting those I assist so that even the challenging bits seem bearable.
