I provide mental health counselling for individuals aged 16 and over who are experiencing a variety of mental health issues such as trauma, grief, anxiety, and self-esteem issues. My goal is to provide compassion, understanding and support in a comfortable and laid back atmosphere. Sessions are different for every person and can include anything from talking about self care and boundaries, practicing breathing and calming techniques, to processing complex trauma - I collaborate with my clients to develop a treatment plan tailored to their unique needs.
I take a person-centred, trauma informed approach and am passionate about creating a safe, trusting relationship with my clients. In my practice, I draw from evidence based therapeutic approaches including EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Humanistic Therapy.
In sessions together, you can expect to learn coping strategies and gain new perspectives while working toward deeper healing and change. Please feel free to reach out for a free consultation if you have any questions, or just want to chat and see if I may be a good fit for you.
