Are you struggling with adjusting to parenthood? Do you feel overwhelmed, anxious, worried, angry or depressed? You are not alone. Did you know that 1 in 5 mothers (including mothers who birthed, adopted or whose babies were born through surrogacy) and 1 in 10 non-birthing parents experience postpartum depression? This often negatively affects sleep, appetite, thoughts, mood and relationships. You can feel better! Together, we can work to identify the challenges you are experiencing and develop goals and strategies to improve your mental health.
I'm a social worker with over 20 years of experience. Since 2009 I have worked primarily with pregnant individuals and couples, parents of newborns, and families formed through adoption, as well as people affected by fertility challenges, grief and loss. I have completed specialized training in the area perinatal/women's mental health.
I am currently accepting new clients. Contact me to schedule a free ten minute consultation. **Sessions take place online or over the phone for clients in NWT - in person sessions are an option for clients in the Edmonton area**
