My therapeutic practice is rooted in relationship. We begin where you are at, both physically and metaphorically. Through an anti-oppressive, culturally competent, trauma informed lens I join you on a journey towards wellbeing. Together we explore and pursue hoped for outcomes. I am safe and comfortable holding space and witness for you to process your pain, struggles and horizons.
I consistently draw from evidence based practice models including ACT, CBT, DBT, EMDR, Mindfulness, Narrative and Solution Focused.
With 30 years worked experience and much lived experience, I am a good fit for individuals working through loss & grief, addiction, anxiety, depression, anger, self esteem issues, family dysfunction and domestic violence & child welfare related issues. My education background includes a BA in psychology and a Masters in Social Work.
To very session I promise to bring safety, compassion, curiosity and hope accompanied with reflection and some humour.
