Life can be challenging, and it often feels even harder when we face it alone or feel pressured to “be strong.” Embracing vulnerability takes courage, and we are here to support you through those tough times. Together, we can find balance, endure the seemingly intolerable, and navigate all your emotions. At J.A.G. Village, we deeply understand grief, mourning, and bereavement. We recognize how disorienting these experiences can be and are committed to helping you navigate this new terrain while supporting and witnessing your journey.
I am a Registered Social Worker, College Professor, and most importantly, the mother of two wonderful children: Davis, whom I hold in my arms, and Jorja, whom I hold in my heart. My personal and professional experiences in children’s mental health, social justice, and education fuel my passion for honoring grief and supporting people, families & communities.
I adopt a holistic approach, distinct from traditional medical models that often reflect colonial and patriarchal influences. I create a space where individuals are encouraged to honor and celebrate their true selves. This is a space where love and loss, joy and pain, and other emotions can coexist, as we collaboratively navigate the path that life presents.
