I am accepting new clients (individuals and couples)! Are you feeling intense emotions, feeling unbalanced, or overwhelmed? I aim to offer a safe place to begin or resume your mental wellness journey. Whether you experience anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, PTSD, domestic violence, addiction, self-esteem struggles, etc, we can navigate the path together. At Out of the Woods Counselling, I believe in attending to the whole self. I want you to feel safe, accepted, nonjudged and comfortable with whatever we explore in therapy. My modalities are eclectic, and I adapt to each client to support their growth.
My practice models stem from a culturally-sensitive, trauma-informed, person-centred approach. This means I welcome clients of all backgrounds and treat each client with respect. I use skills and tools from various modalities including Narrative, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Emotion focused, Gestalt, and Humanistic therapies.
My aim is to create a welcoming place to explore emotions, thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Each person(s) has their own story and I enjoy seeing the world through the eyes of my clients and supporting them in a way that feels comfortable for them.
