I’m a psychotherapist in general practice with specialized training and experience working with trauma-related issues, particularly complex trauma. I bring a warm, genuine, non-judgmental and direct approach. I work collaboratively with clients to help them experience new awareness, insight, and emotional change. I specialize in trauma therapy but enjoy working with diverse people and problems. Many clients experience growth and change that meets their needs within one session. Others with complex and chronic challenges may not have benefit from traditional therapy and require more specialized or long-term psychotherapy.
My practice integrates psychodynamic and somatic therapies. I’m fully trained and registered in Somatic Experiencing and have advanced and ongoing training and supervision in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy. My practice is also informed by training and experience in evidence-based and alternative trauma-focused therapies like EMDR and IFS.
I endeavour to practice socially and culturally informed therapy with recognition of individual and systemic patterns of power and oppression. My approach is rooted in anti-oppressive and liberatory theory and practice. I'm accepting new clients for Fall 2024. Online and in person sessions in Windsor, NS. 15 minute consult calls.
