If your child is overwhelmed with feelings of anxiousness, struggles with regulating their emotions, has problems with relationships, struggles with low self-esteem, or engages in self-defeating and/or self-harming behaviours, therapy can help your child overcome these challenges. I support children, adolescents, and young adults with behavioural, emotional, and relational difficulties by designing interventions to help them learn to cope, communicate, self-regulate, and become more emotionally expressive.
As a clinician, I use a blend of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness to meet children and adolescents where they are in their life journey. I always work from a strength-based perspective and believe psycho-education and skill building is a significant component of therapy.
I am dedicated to creating meaningful connections and working collaboratively with families to achieve goals and improve family functioning. I combine my experiences as a parent with a solid understanding of attachment and child development. I work with children and families toward growth and healing through evidence-based therapy approaches.
