My ideal child/youth/young adult clients are struggling with expressing their feelings, boundary setting, red-flag recognition, relationships (friends, family, peers), self-esteem, and wanting to feel empowered and make positive changes in their life. Starting to support positive self-esteem and confidence at a young age will support positive choices. My ideal parenting clients are parents, guardians, and caregivers looking to participate in self-care, psychoeducation, and receiving validation for themselves while they navigate parenthood. Parenthood is a challenge, and you need to feel validated just as much as your child(ren) do.
I have been working with children, youth, and families for just over eight years. I have gained immense comfortability and confidence in supporting this population and work collaboratively to develop learning and challenge unhelpful behaviours, emotions, and thoughts that come up for all clients to work towards a sense of safety and security.
Having someone to talk to outside of home, school, or extracurriculars who is unbiased and will listen to and validate your experiences is incredibly beneficial when working through challenges that come up in everyday life or ongoing issues. I am here solely for you and work with you to create positive change in your life and to meet goals we set together.
