I can help with a wide range of challenges including: times of transition, coping skills, questions around identity, gender, sexuality, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, relationship issues and/or divorce/separation, problems with school or work, parenting challenges, etc. Of utmost importance is establishing a strong therapeutic relationship, as we work deeply to achieve your goals. My own lived experience with trauma, mental health challenges, sexuality/identity and experience of parenthood help inform and support the work we will do together. I bring my full weird, authentic self to my work. Clients feel I'm "real".
My basic belief is hopeful and positive: that ultimately people are “good” and are striving for wellness and wholeness with the internal/external resources they have. I am committed to helping unpack and leave behind old stories & ways of coping that no longer serve you, while building resilience and new ways of understanding/relating to yourself & others.
As a queer woman, I am particularly interested but not exclusively focused on supporting clients within the LGBTQ2SIA+ community. I support overall mental wellness for all men & women as we work to resolve both internal & systemic barriers that get in the way of psychological well-being. Relational, somatic & nervous system approaches are integral in my work

Each person is different, and we will work together to figure out what approaches work best for you. I lean toward relational, somatic and psychodynamic work as overarching ways to understanding clients' concerns; AND, being a therapist requires flexibility, discernment and collaboration to get it right. Therapy can be weird and awkward and I am here for it! I bring my full weird self to work.
