Hi, how are you feeling today? You may not always get to answer that question honestly. My hope is that one day you will, as you become more in tune with your emotions and your life. I specialize in substance/alcohol addictions, borderline personality disorder, Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, and mood/anxiety imbalance. I like to focus on the impact your concerns may have on you, your environment, and your past/present family dynamics. I practice a psychodynamic and narrative approach to psychotherapy, which looks like walking alongside you, hearing your story, and exploring the best path to healing &wellness.
I believe by engaging in psychotherapy, we can learn how withstand the emotional storm of life. We can make this possible through exploring attachment, childhood memories, relationships, defences & patterns. I view the change we create together as rewriting your narrative, where the past trauma-filled stories we carry are 'rewritten' with health and healing.
A guiding influence in my clinical practiceI is to see people as separate from their problem. We all have experienced to some degree, pain, trauma, loss, negativity, fear, grief, resentment, or shame at some point in our lives.
