As a neurodivergent mom with two kiddos, I understand the many challenges of navigating a neurotypical world. People with ADHD, Autism, and/or Learning Disabilities can struggle with balancing the demands of work, school, relationships, parenting, our own wellbeing, or even just everyday tasks. Our nervous systems often become used to chronic states of overwhelm, which can lead us to engage in old patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviours that keep us feeling stuck. My goal as a therapist is to empower you to understand how your neurodivergent brain works so that you can access your truest potential.
My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, somatically-oriented and steers clear of 'one size fits all' thinking. I have obtained my MSW degree and I am a RSW with BCCSW. I utilize therapeutic techniques to support you in understanding your nervous system, explore your emotions, and connect to deeper parts of yourself.
I recognize each of us as having a unique set of circumstances that leads us to seek support. I look forward to meeting you where you are, and moving at your pace. I believe that we all have super hero strengths and sometimes we just need someone in the room to shine a light on them - so, get ready to throw on that cape.
