About
Having the courage to reach out for assistance is a big step. After building a foundational therapeutic alliance, I assist clients in identifying and reaching towards personal goals by developing strategies to sustain personal advances. I provide therapy to individuals experiencing challenges related to a variety of emotional, behavioural, and learning concerns, specializing in the area of student anxiety and the transition through early stages of adulthood. Jessica also specializes in supporting clients throughout the journey of fertility/conception, coping with miscarriage/stillbirth, pre-natal and postpartum mental health.
I take an eclectic approach to therapy utilizing elements of Cognitive Behavioural , Narrative, Emotion Focused and Person-centred therapies, while occupying a strengths-based and solution focused lens. I am passionate about working collaboratively with clients to empower therapeutic change and ensure therapy is tailored to your unique concerns.
In addition to traditional psychotherapy, I provide learning strategies counselling focused on targeted skill development. I teach students how to work smarter, instead of harder. Some of the areas of learning that I can provide counselling for include: procrastination, time management, note taking, organization, test preparation and taking, and more.
