About
My approach to counselling and psychotherapy is client-centred and trauma-informed. I work with older adolescents and adults with a diverse range of concerns, to increase their sense of confidence and well-being. I am based in Bridgewater and am currently offering in-person and online therapy to residents of Nova Scotia. In our work together, you will bring your knowledge of yourself, your experience, and your hopes for the future. I will incorporate a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques aimed at broadening your awareness and decreasing your distress.
In my career I have had experience working in community based mental health, university student counselling services, and residential addiction treatment. Through this experience I have had the pleasure of accompanying clients as they uncover their own resilience and innate capacity to heal.
In this work I am interested in exploring and strengthening our connections to ourselves, each other, our communities, and our environment. Looking for a counsellor can feel daunting and it is important to find someone with whom you feel safe and heard by. I look forward to connecting with you!
