It can be hard to step into life the way you want when struggling with painful thoughts, emotions, or experiences. Asking for help takes courage and I work hard to provide a safe and authentic space to support you. I am passionate about working with people who feel hijacked by their thoughts and emotions, and with couples who are finding it difficult to feel securely connected. In therapy we work collaboratively so that you can gain new insight, experience peace, and find creative, workable ways to tackle difficult behavioural, emotional, or interpersonal problems.
I focus my work in anxiety (all kinds) and compulsive disorders (OCD, BDD, Trichotillomania). I also work with people experiencing relationship difficulties, life transitions, adjustment concerns, PTSD, and low self-esteem. Models of therapy I use include Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), CBT, and Emotion Focused therapy.
