I work with individuals & couples with a variety of issues including addictions, trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, relationship wellness, anger management, life stress, self-harm, infertility, unresolved trauma, grief, and sexual identity. I value a collaborative approach whether offering support or working to look at the thoughts, feelings, and behaviour that are keeping you stuck in unhealthy or unsatisfying patterns. My goal is to help you recognize your strengths and potential, increase positive life experiences, and build capacity to cope with life's struggles. LGBTQIA+ affirming.
I am trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities including CBT, EMDR, Gottman Method for couples in therapy including specialized training for couples that have suffered an affair and/or trauma. I also utilize Solution focused therapy, Narrative therapy, and Prolonged Exposure therapy. Virtual and in person sessions available.
My professional experience in community centres, addiction treatment centres & medical facilities addressing various addictions, mental health, personal, and family relational concerns has been a valuable part of my professional journey and I bring this expertise to my private practice. Saturday March 28th, 2020 The Gottman 7 Principles Workshop aids couples in deepening their friendship, managing conflict successfully, honouring each other's dreams and creating shared meaning. This workshop is appropriate for couples contemplating engagement, pre-marital couples and those currently married or in a committed relationship. It is psycho-education and is intended for couples who wish to enhance and enrich their relationship. Spots are limited, cost of $300 is due upon registration.
