Hello! I am a registered social worker and mental health clinician who has worked in diverse mental health settings for the past 20 years. I use an integrative approach drawing on; mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, compassionate inquiry, DBT and harm reduction. I prioritize cultivating a positive and aligned therapeutic relationship to ensure you are seen, heard and supported in your journey towards wellness. Counselling provides space to navigate trauma, practice self compassion, learn about boundaries, shift unhelpful core beliefs and identify our values.
I specialize in supporting people with anxiety, depression, severe mental illness, chronic suicidal thoughts, substance use, gender and sexuality exploration, self harm and grief/loss. I also work with people and families who support someone with mental health and substance use issues through supportive counselling, referrals and education.
My practice is grounded in compassion, empathy, curiosity and relationship. I strive to create a safe space to provide clarity, instill hope, remind you of your strengths and encourage bravery.
