Hello, and thank you for your interest in working with me. I might be the right therapist for you if you are looking for structure and challenge in a warm, supportive context. I can help you to better understand your symptoms so that you feel more empowered to address these challenges day-to-day. I work with specific concerns, such as panic attacks or insomnia, or broader goals, such as building self-esteem. I can give you concrete tools to practice in-between sessions, as well as support you in building confidence and self-compassion while this growth is taking place. You will likely find me using humor along the way.
I use CBT, mindfulness, and self-compassion approaches to address concerns including Insomnia, OCD, Social Anxiety, Panic Attacks, and Depression. I employ present-focused strategies to explore current patterns of thoughts, beliefs, and behaviours that may not be serving you. I have specialty training in CBT for Insomnia, ERP for OCD, and exposure therapy.
It is my priority to build a trusting, collaborative environment to explore your issues at your own pace. I aim to offer a safe space regardless of ethnicity, gender identity, sexuality, religious affiliation, or disability. I support fat acceptance and utilize a health at every size (HAES) approach.
