Jennifer L Nunes
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, B.S.W. , M.S.W., R.S.W.
When your child or partner is faced with a physical or mental illness the entire family is impacted. With years of school, hospital and community based mental health experience, I meet with individuals and families to assist in developing ways to cope with their loved one's condition. I help in finding balance, reconnecting partners, and understanding the complexity of their loved one’s condition. Clients develop skills needed to navigate the healthcare and/or education system and address the importance of self-care. My goal is to help clients find the "new norm" and regain balance in their individual lives and family system.
Years of work experience with youth, families and adults have allowed me to develop a wide range of therapeutic skills. I understand the complex demands parenting a child with increased needs and the weight this adds to the individual and family system. I am trained in multiple therapeutic modalities and work to find what best fits my client's unique needs.
My work starts with you. The therapeutic process is collaborative from start to finish. It takes a lot of courage to take the initial step toward change. I get to know my clients unique challenges and growth potential. If you have any questions or are wondering if therapy is right for you, don't hesitate to reach out. I'm here to answer any of your questions
