Processing these events can take place at any age and can look different for each individual. The important part is that you feel genuinely seen and heard.
I believe people can heal by entering a trusting relationship and gaining insight into their lives. By understanding how we approach ourselves, others and the world around us, we can make sense of how to create meaningful and practical change. That would be through processing a traumatic event, feeling truly validated or learning to regulate our emotions.
