I hold a Master's degree in CounselIing and a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy. I work with individuals (youth, young adults, and adults) in areas including anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, stress, grief, abuse recovery, eating disorders, and relational concerns. As I have lived cross-culturally and worked extensively with newcomers to Canada, I have a special interest in cross-cultural adjustment and related concerns. I am proficient in Mandarin Chinese and may be able to provide counselling services in Mandarin upon request. In my practice, I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Attachment Theory, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. Treatment is tailored accordingly for each individual.
