About
Hi, my name is Jenna, owner and Counselling Therapist at Mountain View Counselling. I specialize in infant and early childhood mental health. When working with children and teens, I work closely with you, the child’s caregiver. You are the most important person in your child’s life, and therapy will be most effective if we work together as a team. Sessions may include parent coaching sessions, child-focused sessions or family sessions. Often, a combination of these sessions is involved. In addition to these services, I also provide counselling services to new mothers; supporting women during their postpartum period.
I support children and their families who may be struggling with anxiety, behavioural challenges, or family reorganization such as divorce and separation, adoption, or the birth or loss of a family member. When working with children and families, I utilize play therapy and a variety of attachment-based treatment modalities.
I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation, so please reach out and ask any questions you may have and we can explore whether we are a good fit. I look forward to connecting with you!
