About
I love my work - supporting others' success is my calling. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor / University Instructor with a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology. In addition to Resonate Wellness and CapilanoU, I am also a husband (14 years), father (children 11 & 8), and hockey coach. In my Downtown Vancouver practice (970 Burrard - Electra Health Floor), I see adults, couples & adolescents. I am experienced working with diverse populations & issues including Couples Counselling, Anxiety, Depression, & Self-Acceptance. I also work with individuals on improving performance (professionally, academically, & athletically) & have successfully supported clients into significant personal achievements.
My therapeutic approach is warm, genuine, & straightforward. I meet clients wherever they are at & create a safe space, free of judgment. The process often consists of generating insights to enhance understanding, identifying strengths, & creating lasting & meaningful change - which often includes learning new ways to relate to oneself & others.
Some consistent (and humbling) feedback I receive is when clients state that they had previously tried therapy multiple times over the years without success, but that their work this time around was different. I do my best to make every therapy session meaningful and productive.
