Life can be better. Being human means that unexpected circumstances will disrupt your journey and best-laid plans. This is certainly true during this Covid-19 crisis. Whether planned or unplanned, life transitions such as grief, divorce, quarter-life or midlife crisis, empty nest, job loss, or critical illness can leave you feeling disoriented, anxious, afraid and deeply discouraged. Reaching out for help takes courage especially when you are sad, fearful, or distressed. Healing, adjusting, and accepting change can be emotionally painful work which you do not have to face alone.
I specialize in helping clients recover and thrive after difficult life transitions. Psychotherapy can help clients sleep better, increase social skills, lower depressive symptoms, reduce anxiety, develop new coping skills, decrease emotional reactivity, and give a greater sense of well-being and purpose.
I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you into a safe and non-judgemental space of healing, growth, and soulful reflection. As we build a genuine therapeutic connection, I hope you will be inspired to discover and create greater courage, authenticity, and meaning in your life.

Janice Mae Clarke's Groups

Divorce & Separation Group Therapy

Have you lost your sense of meaning since your separation or marital breakdown? Do you want to improve your personal well-being and ability to cope during this transitional period? Group therapy offers unique benefits: a safe place to experience respect, validation, and support. Receiving peer feedback and relatedness will allow you to let go of the guilt and shame associated with relationship failure. A 50-min intake/therapy session determines an individual's suitability for group treatment. Participants commit to six consecutive sessions to facilitate group cohesion, trust, and effectiveness. Please email to be put on current wait list.

Ontario Online Therapy Group

Do you need therapeutic support for mild anxiety and or depression? Consider joining an online group. Groups take place with minimum of three or maximum of four participants. Email Janice regarding availability. Group sessions offer support related to coping, strength finding, managing stress, building social connection, reducing anxiety, learning grounding techniques, and practicing mindfulness. An individual screening interview session is required to join this group to determine if this group therapy is suitable or if individual therapy is a better option.
