Are you feeling stressed or overwhelmed by life transitions, losses, crises or relationship challenges? Finding that anxiety is becoming unmanageable in your life? Perhaps trying to find meaningful life goals and make changes?In my counselling work I am passionate about connecting and working with people using a "person- centred" approach, which involves listening and focusing on understanding and respecting the perspective and experience of my clients. I will use a collaborative approach to work with you to gain clarity, understanding and solutions that will support positive growth and change in your life.
The most common issues that my clients have brought to counselling include: trying to manage their symptoms of stress, anxiety and/or depression, struggling with grief, loss or life transitions, dealing with relationship, family or cultural problems and conflicts, and looking for help with career exploration and clarifying life goals.
I will work with you to help make sense of your thoughts, feelings and behaviour patterns and to bring new insight and skills to manage your situation. Some of the counselling techniques I use include: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Training, Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology and Brief Therapy.
