It can be overwhelming to manage your children’s behaviours and know how to best support them when they are challenged with their “big emotions”. These emotions can stem from a wide variety of reasons and I am here to help you process these emotions and work together on your parenting journey. Over the past 25 plus years, my expertise has focused on supporting children (0 to 12 years old) that struggle with attachment, trauma, anxiety, ADHD, depression and/or sensory processing. I pride myself on my ability to “connect” and form relationships with my clients.
I believe in a collaborative safe environment where I work with my clients, their family members and other professionals. Working collectively for the child will help to navigate their challenges with emotional regulation, behavioural difficulties/emotional release, grief and bereavement and/or difficulties coping in the school environment.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I am also a trained registered facilitator in the Circle of Security parenting program. This is group-based therapy for parents/guardians learning the importance of attachment theory between children and their family members. I look forward to connecting.
