Often children’s behaviour can intensify or become problematic when they are faced with a problem which they don’t have the skills or knowledge to manage. I would love to help you and your family address any concerns you may be facing. Expressive techniques allow people of all ages to express their concerns and move towards resolution in a free and protective space without feeling restricted by trying to find the right words. I draw from an integrated approach using principles from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Family Systems.
Sandplay uses natural elements of sand, water and miniatures to help address concerns while play therapy provides a language for children to develop deeper understandings, uncover hidden strengths and address challenges. Along with specialised training to offer both approaches, my background is in education with 20 years experiences supporting families.
I would love to help you embrace the best versions of yourself and your family. My practice is guided by a person-centred, relational and trauma-informed approach. I currently offer in-person (with appropriate Covid procedures) and online sessions. I also offer free 15 minute phone consultations to discover if my approaches may work for your concerns.
