I wish to acknowledge that I am an uninvited guest on the ancestral, traditional, and unceded territory of the Syilx Nation. I am a Princetonite, feeling blessed to live, work, and play on the land of the Similkameen peoples and recognize the Vermillion Forks Metis nation. I identify as a mother, sister, daughter, partner, friend, healer, learner and unlearner. I am a fourth generation Canadian with ancestral connections in Europe primarily England, Ireland, France and Spain.
Jamie has a Masters in Counselling Psychology (MACP) is a Registered Social worker (RSW), is EMDR trained, a Certified Hypnotherapist(C.Hth.), and has been a Reiki master for over 20 years. Jamie brings all of her training and modalities into her therapeutic interventions offering a holistic wrap-around counseling experience.
Jamie was inspired to support people experiencing trauma, grief, loss, and mental health challenges after losing her mom to cancer when she was 18. Jamie felt the effects of this loss and witnessed members of her family suffer the trauma associated with a sudden loss. Jamie works within local Indegnous community in the Similkameen valley as well as online.
